Over 90% of the participants in our 2011 social media survey indicated that they use LinkedIn. Our survey showed that more accounting professionals are using LinkedIn than Facebook and Twitter.
This may seem strange considering that Facebook users outnumber LinkedIn users by five to one! LinkedIn has clearly established itself as the leading social network among accounting professionals.

I am curious, because it seems to me that this would also be true of other professional groups.
IMHO, Facebook and Twitter are more designed to be communications/engagement platforms than LinkedIn.
I do suspect that it is possible that over time, accounting professional will embrace the value of Twitter and Facebook - as well as other social media channels - as platforms for marketing and communication with their client base and prospects.
